The governor's race is dead. Long live the lieutenant governor?
The Democrats' statistical expert testified that it is impossible to know whether Gov. Christine Gregoire actually got the most legal votes in the November election.
Republican party attorney Mark Braden asked UW professor Christopher Adolph whether by using figures of illegal votes alleged by both sides it was possible to determine if Gregoire was validly elected.
"From the aggregate data , it is impossible to do that," Adolph said.
Braden: "As you sit there, we don't know if she got the most legal votes, in your analysis?"
Adolph: "As a scientific question, no we do not."
